Listen. Play. Score.
A lesson is a short part of a beat, played on the pads of the pack. You hear it first, then it is your turn.
Listen
The lesson plays the beat first. Not sure yet? Watch the demo: the app plays the lesson by itself, pad by pad.
Play
Tap the pads as they light up. The pads show you which one to tap and when.
Get your score
At the end, you see how many taps were Perfect, Good, Early, Late or missed, and your score for the lesson.
Your timing
Every tap gets a rating.
Every lesson, a score.
Beat Maker Pro compares each tap with the beat and rates it. Your ratings add up to a score from 0 to 100% at the end of the lesson.
Tapping the wrong pad does not lower your score: only the timing of the expected taps counts.

Stars, vinyls and levels
Your best score on each lesson earns rewards, and passing lessons moves you up the levels.
Up to 3 stars
One star from 51%, two from 75%, three from 90%.
Vinyls
Bronze from 51%, silver from 75%, gold from 90% and platinum from 99.5%.
The next lesson
Score 51% or more to unlock the next lesson of the pack. The first lesson is always open.
Levels
Each lesson you pass for the first time earns experience. Every new level unlocks a sound pack.
Questions & answers
Questions about lessons
Do I need to know music theory?
No. The lessons show you which pad to tap and when. You learn the beat by listening and playing it back.
How many lessons are there?
More than 1,000 lessons in total. Each sound pack has its own series, from a few lessons to more than twenty.
What if I fail a lesson?
Try again as many times as you like. If you are stuck, you can also watch a short video to skip a lesson you failed, except the last lesson of a pack.
Are the lessons free?
Lessons come with their sound pack. Some packs are free, others unlock with a short video, by leveling up, in career mode or with the subscription. See how to unlock packs.
Can I use Bluetooth headphones?
You can, but wireless headphones can add a delay between your tap and the sound, which makes your timing harder to judge. For lessons, the phone speaker or wired headphones work best. Read the guide.
