No. Lessons show you which pad to tap and when, and score your timing. Start with a pack marked Easy and move up at your own pace.

Game is career mode, Learn is where you browse sound packs and their lessons, Pad is free play, My Music holds your recent packs and recordings, and Custom is where you build your own kits.

Each tap in a lesson is rated Perfect (within 50 milliseconds of the beat), Good (within 150 milliseconds), Early, Late or Miss. Your ratings add up to a score out of 100%. How lessons work.

Score 51% or more on the current lesson. If you are stuck on a lesson you failed, you can also skip it by watching a short video, except for the last lesson of a pack.

It depends on the pack: some are free, many unlock after a short video, others when you reach a new level or open a chest in career mode, and premium packs come with the subscription. Each pack shows how to unlock it.

Yes. A pack unlocked with a video stays unlocked.

No. It unlocks the video packs and the premium packs. Packs earned by leveling up and packs hidden in career mode chests are earned by playing, with or without the subscription.

Yes. In the Custom tab, pick sounds from the library, place them on 12 pads and save your pack. More about custom packs.

On the pad screen, tap REC, play, then stop. Listen back, give your recording a name and save it.

Recording is free on Android. On iPhone and iPad, it is part of the subscription.

In the My Music tab. From there you can play, rename, delete or share a recording as an audio file, using the share options of your phone.

Recordings made with a pack based on an original song by another artist, marked “Original by” in the app, are kept for 30 days. A recording is also removed when its pack is no longer available, for example if you delete the custom pack you used.

Wireless headphones can add a delay to the sound. For lessons and free play, use the phone speaker or wired headphones. In career mode, the app adjusts automatically when it detects Bluetooth headphones. Read the guide.

No. The pads play the sounds of the pack as they are, without effects or tempo control. You set the pace with your taps, and lessons play each beat at its own tempo.

A few packs come with the app. Other packs, their lessons and career mode songs are downloaded when you open them, so you need a connection the first time.

Yes. In Settings, switch off Feedback Haptic or Sound effects.

It removes the ads, unlocks the video packs and the premium packs and, on iPhone and iPad, recording. Prices, trial and terms are shown in the app before you subscribe.

Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select Beat Maker Pro, then Cancel Subscription. You can also get there from the app: Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription. If there is no cancel button or an expiration message is shown, it is already canceled.

Open your subscriptions in Google Play with the account you subscribed with. Select Beat Maker Pro, tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription.

On iPhone and iPad, open Settings → Subscription in the app and tap Restore purchase. If that does not work, or if you are on Android, contact our support team with your phone model and the store you used.
